The Street Theatre Program against Discrimination and Racism, sponsored by the European Union in collaboration with Minority Rights Group, launched a documentary film about the problem of stateless persons and the lack of documentation and other theater projects with young people in the Dairy and sugar refineries in Palmarejo on discrimination against people of Haitian descent. The film and theater presentations have been a model for the overall strategy for public awareness delivered in ten educational institutions in the National District.

The theater group “The 12 disciples” is currently conducting its 2014 tour performing the play “The community is built by all of us”, which seeks to reflect on the need to ensure access to basic services such as water, electricity and sanitation in communities bateyanas.
